What was your inspiration?
I saw several versions of this appliqued tree design, with a bird beside the tree, on various blogs and websites. I decided I wanted to make a version of my own. I found a fabric in my stash of a grey cat that looks very much like my own kitty, Sofia. So I decided to put a cat under the appliqued tree. (See photo of Sofia.)
What are you most proud of?
Wish I could say my creativity, because my ideas come mostly from other very creative people. I just make my own version of what I see. So, I am proud of my finished product--the cat pillow just makes me smile.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Look at websites, blogs, Pinterest,com, etc. to "spark" your next project.
