Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

Cotton fabric, lots of thread and tonz of patience!

What was your inspiration?

I was given a tub of antique quilts after my mom died that her grandmother had handmade. I copied her floral motif in my colors and added a twist with the single, super-size buds. I love this quilt top and can't wait to quilt it so it can be on my bed permently.

What are you most proud of?

I love the bold look of the motif! I only had to buy the white, I used left overs and scraps for all the florals. I used 2.5 spools of thread for all the satin stitching. By the last block (#36) I could satin stitch applique a block in 25 minutes. ( not bad for 14 pieces)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

8 yards of white for king size...I had to go back to the store twice.
