What was your inspiration?
The apple on the Cricut Cartridge was my inspiration. I was looking for an encouraging, uplifting idea for a get well card. The apple made me think of the saying " An apple a day will keep the doctor away". I put the saying on the outside and on the inside I put a picture of a basketfull of apples and the words, "So here's a whole basketfull Get Well Soon.
What are you most proud of?
I like the way the colors of the background plaid and the colors of the apples coordinate so well. The card is simple but effective in getting the sentiment across.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Assemble all materials first making sure your colors and patterns coordinate. I found that printing on vellum and immediately sprinkling fine black embossing powder on the words to emboss them made the words show up best over the background.
