Quilting: Apple blossom fairy FMQ
6 kudoz

Apple blossom fairy FMQ

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Children

Style: Whimsical, Cute

Materials

I bought a cute fairy panel, added a border and did free motion quilting to practice. I'm new to FMQ and didn't want to ruin a real quilt!

What was your inspiration?

I LOVE free motion quilting and needed something to practice on.

What are you most proud of?

I really think it came out pretty good. I still need LOTS of practice traveling!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Practice, practice, practice. And then practice some more! Lol

Thanks! I ordered 4 more fairy panels all in different colors to continue practicing. Then I think I'm going too attach them all for one larger quilt. :)

What a great idea, I can see it would be a lot less stressful than working on a pieced quilt. well done it looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! It was really fun working on it. I think I was much more relaxed because it wasn't a 'real' quilt so I could practice without worrying.
