Here are some details about my project:

What materials did you use? Mostly batiks, the white is a traditional fabric with metallic silver swirls. I didn't have any of the jelly roll left used to make the blocks, so I tried to match the colours from my stash.

What are you most proud of? I wasn't sure how I was going to do the borders on this quilt top. It has been on the design wall for a couple of weeks. I did this course and then I knew.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just go for it. Reference the course materials, use Debbie s technique for error free cutting and run with it !

Hi Debbie - I agree this is the BEST class I have taken on craftsy. You have changed the way I cut for sure and in this class give so many ideas it is hard to keep up. I purchased a couple of your books which I am enjoying very much. I wish I had known about you when you taught in Beaverlodge AB, because I sure would have driven there to take your class in person. I just finished the Desert Stars quilt from your book and I learned SO much through that process. Thanks for changing the way I think. Cheers, Lidwina, in Valemount BC Canada.

Your border is very striking. Almost part of the quilt and not a border at all.
