What was your inspiration?
I needed a simple pullover with some fun little details, and I wanted it to fit! I'm 6' tall and traditional sweater patterns are not long enough. I decided that it was time for someone to do something about that, and the Apogee Pullover was born. (There is also an Apogee Cardigan).
What are you most proud of?
The sweater is knit straight (no waist shaping), and the cables placed along the sides create the shaping. No worries about starting or finishing the waist shaping in the wrong place. I also managed to size my design to cover a height range of 5'10" - 6'6"! (Traditional heights are included as well).
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you have never knit a top-down sweater before, don't over think it or second guess yourself. Knit the first few rows exactly as written (they are always the hardest part of a top-down pattern) and the rest will fall nicely into place.
