What materials did you use? Aphrodite (goddess of love in Greek Mythology) has been developed from my Poseidon setting from my book ' Wire Jewelry Masterclass'. The contrast of the bare wire with the woven gives the eye plenty of detail to focus on. Inside the circular frame are swirls and loops of wire and copper beads. Beautifully faceted Garnets add some colour and sparkle. The necklace is made with faceted Garnet ovals and rondelles, with copper beads of graduating size. The necklace is finished with a handmade hook clasp. I have oxidised this piece to highlight the detail. The necklace is 16" long and the pendant is 1 1/2" tall (including the bail) and 1 1/4" wide. Thanks for looking :)

Beautiful pendant and I want to congratulate you on your new book. My copy just arrived this week from Amazon and it's excellent.

Thank you! I love copper too and it allows me to really play with designs without the fear of wastage you get with silver :)

Abby, what do you use on your copper pieces to prevent tarnishing?

As with any metal, you need to keep it clean to prevent tarnishing, this can easily be done with a little mild detergent (washing up liquid) and a soft nylon brush (an old toothbrush). Wash the piece well and rinse. If you have metal that has already started to tarnish, you can clean this off using toothpaste (not gel) and a soft nylon brush, this will not work on heavily tarnished pieces though. To reduce tarnishing I hand polish all of my copper pieces with a gold polishing cloth, which has been impregnated with an anti tarnish agent.
