Size 20 crochet thread or equivalent, 10/0 seed beads, US 1 needles, commercial satin or glass ornament. Shown in 35/2 unbleached linen thread and pearl beads.

What was your inspiration?

I love the look of pearls on natural unbleached linen. The contrast against the white satin ornament ball reminds me of antique ornaments such as might be on display in an elegant mansion.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you wish to substitute for other thread sizes, adjust as necessary for compatible sized beads and the size needles you need to produce an open lacy look.
