That looks amazing!! She had loads of talent! How nice that you can have this and keep her memory with you!--Danielle

Yes, so, so lucky to have it in my home! The work is unbelievable up close.

Absolutely stunning! A family heirloom. And it is in pristine condition. You can tell it has been lovingly cared for. I wish I had one of the quilts my great grandmother made (even though she was not as talented as your aunt). I would love to have a treasured keepsake from her. Thank you for sharing this.

Hi Karsa. Thank you for your kind words. I received all 5 quilts she pieced and treasure them all. (I cannot believe all are still together with no major rips). I keep on display and rotate to enjoy the view and control light damage. I wish I met her, but unfortunately she passed the day I was born. My Aunt has written me stories of her mother I treasure and will keep with the quilts to pass to my daughter one day (my daughter is only 5).

Oh my gosh, what a splendid quilt this is! Its so bright and cheerful, it makes me smile :) Did you hand sew or machine sew the hexagons and how long did it take you to make? It a real credit to you!

Hi Nicky It is an antique made by my great Aunt in the late 30s. All hand pieced and hand quilted. It is a treasure.
