Antique Hall Table Redo

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Functional

For: Other

Style: Retro / Vintage

Materials

Spray Paint, Tile Adhesive, 3 sheets of 1/2" Glass Tile, Non-sanded Tile Grout

What was your inspiration?

The tile was my inspiration. While we were redoing our bathroom, I kept seeing the glass tile at Home Depot & wishing there was something I could do with it. A few weeks later, a friend took this old table out of her attic and asked if I wanted it. I went right over to Home Depot and bought the tile :)

What are you most proud of?

The grout. I am not particularly good at grouting. This came out absolutely perfect.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Coordinating the spray paint & the tile really makes the look. I think that the copper metallic spray paint really made the glass tiles look purposeful & pretty.

Beautiful! It's hard to tell if this is a metal or wooden table in the picture...I am guessing metal? I have a wooden table that is very similar (have small tile already too...lol) but I am not sure if I need to "prep" the table first! Good job!!!

No, it's wood . I stripped the old paint, sanded the rough spots & then painted it the copper color. Go for it! The whole thing took about 4 days with the drying times.
