Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: The cradle is made of a 50/50 modeling chocolate/gumpaste mix. I think I actually over mixed my MC, but it seemed to work once I mixed it with the GP. The owl is MC/fondant. I used Wilton's Baroque mold for the gold cradle details. The cradle slats were glued to the mattress and to each other using Royal Icing. I used this Craftsy Cclass and a YouTube tutorial by McGreevy Cakes.

What are you most proud of? The fact that it stayed together!! And the shower guests had no idea it was a cake.

What's the dimension of the cake? How many did it serve? Such a beauty!

It was about 7x11. A 7x11, 2 layer, 4 inch high cake can serve 24 people for a party of 32 for a wedding.
