What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The 2 skeins of the Noro Iro didn't seem quite enough for this cute little capelet. I wish that the yarn shop had an extra skein. The capelet fits like it does in the photo, but sometimes I wish I could button it up.

I'm making this now....using reg yarn plus a tiny bumpy yarn together...turning out nice....but found that should use cirucular needles as the increases are too much for my needle....can't wait to see how it'll look....if nice, my daughter wants one in black....mine won't match the pattern either...make it your own...

made it too big....restart as it's an easy pattern....I would make it longer and the sleeves smaller....I made them bigger as I did not want it too snug, but lol, made too big...

I did make some slight mods to the pattern by making the capelet a bit longer. That's probably why my version looks slightly different.
