Don't let the collar scare you. It's quite easy if you read through the instructions and take your time. I would suggest you make a muslin before you make one out of "good" fabric. Tip: the collar may turn out a bit short so you might want to cut it a bit taller than the pattern.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
My son. I made this shirt for his 5th birthday. I've been making him a special shirt for each of his birthdays.
What are you most proud of?
The white pearl snaps which don't have much to do with sewing but I think they make the shirt so cool.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try making a "practice" shirt first so that you don't get frustrated with the collar. AND forget using buttons, go for snaps!
