What a lovely contrast yet coordinating at the same time. The red just pops out!

Finished this today - ready for quilting. I was almost two year project. I learned a lot about what not to do - if I ever undertake it again. . . .like not using large print fabrics that have a color that matches your contrast fabric. I think I have a disappearing arrowhead quilt here. If I stand back and squint I can see the pattern easier! LOL! I don't think I will wash, dry and put fabric in liquid starch overnight either. It was great as far as making the blocks VERY square and precise (because of all the biases you are working with). I did use strips of stabilizer on all the bias edges too which helped immensely. The hard part was sewing the rows together as the fabric was like very stiff cardboard and it was hard to maneuver under the presser foot with the entire quilt up there - and get a straight, accurate seam. I was thinking about quilting it myself until I realized it is not realistic with it being all SO stiff. It is done and I am SO Happy!
