This one looks really great to me. By the way, i know what you mean, coming out of the comfort zone. One has a preferance of colors and it's a task to use a color which is quiet far away from oneself.

What is your comfort zone in color? I too have stepped outside my preferred colors and have found that I feel like I am doing a task more so than something enjoy. Bright and cheery is more my style but I have done a few things these past weeks that are more earthy and I feel a bit drab. I am going to quilt one today and hope the stitching gives the pop that I want.

I usually use blues and small print or plain fabric

I rarely use Gray or muted colours

Do you cut the pieces in an angle ? How do you put the blocks together or do you put blocks together?

So easy with Anita's instructions and no wasted fabric with very little measuring--love the technique

I like the contrast!
