What was your inspiration?
I want to thank The Yellow Bee Cake Company for making this cake first. My daughter saw their picture online and had her heart set on it for her 5th birthday. I hope I did it justice!
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud that I was able to make this for my daughter and she loved it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You can be flexible with how many decorations you use and give yourself a lot of time to make all of those birds and pigs. I used a stiff, short wire to insert the red bird into the boomerang. Make the boomerang with 50/50 fondant, gumpaste and make it wide enough to hold the wire without splitting it.
