Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Charity

Style: Cute, Classic, Casual

What was your inspiration?

My friend Angie has larger feet than I do - so I wanted to make slippers that would fit her.

What are you most proud of?

These are fun to make and also cute!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be gentle on your hands. If you are finding it hard to manage at this gauge, make sure you take breaks.

Thank you for the pattern. For those of you who would like to adjust the size, just decrease the number of stitches across the rows and in the length. :-)

These slipper are beautiful! Unfortunately, I take a size 6 shoe and my sister a size 8. I've never been able to find a pattern for either knit or crochet slippers that I have liked enough to make. These are very different and look quite comfortable. I'm not good at adjusting sizes on my own. Good luck and congratulations to all whom they do fit!

I truly love the end result! I too wear a size 10 shoe. Is it possible that there is a similar pattern to knit that does not require the felting step? Wool is rather itchy for me'; since I have some pretty serious nerve damage on my left foot - the scratchiness of wool is liken to an electrical shock!! Not nice at all. If anyone has a pattern that turns out in this style, or can lead me to a link I really would appreciate it so very VERY MUCH. Great work on the above!! Love them!! my edress is GaelicShe@aol.com please put knit slipper pattern in the subject line so my SPAM folder doesn't swallow it !! Thanks

I will email this question to the pattern designer and see if she has an easy answer.

There are so many different types of wool that are not itchy. Have you tried working with Merino, Polwarth or Blue-faced Leisceiter(spelling?)? These wools are very soft.

For all who asked, I fixed the link above and you can now go directly to the pattern! Sorry about that.

oh nevermind! for future readers "materials" is a link to a pattern, not a link to a website to buy yarn from like I originally thought haha.
