Instructions
The pattern came from a collection of magazines I have from 1944.The booklet is called "Old and New Favorites Book" Number 205, Page 9
I made a copy of the image, enlarged it, then did the work row by row while shading out the rows I completed.

# 10 Thread
What was your inspiration?
My son is a Pastor and he asked me to make him an Altar Cloth. I was thrilled to have him ask me. His wife is quite fond of vintage patterns and designs and I love Roses, so searching through my library I came across this and went for it!
What are you most proud of?
Completing this project! I tend to get very bored when working with one color over a period of time. It gets monotonous. It took me a year to finish, but only because I would put it aside and work on other things.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Stick with it. Also, the project recommended size #30 thread. I opted for size # 10 , so it ended up a dresser scarf instead of an altar cloth ;-)
