What materials did you use? This little quilt was made with 100% cotton fabrics with fusible batting inside.

What are you most proud of? The thing I am most proud of it that I usually do not like pink. I think this turned out well inspite of that. As a matter of fact I considered making another one and keeping this one for myself.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just have fun with it. I didn't piece the center square under the dahlia like the pattern said to do. I just cut a 6 1/2" square instead to applique the dahlia onto. It went together faster that way. I used green fabric with a leaf design for the star part behind the dahlia. I thought it would look like leaves that way. I used bias seam binding for the vine. I also tacked the tips of the flower petals down. I did a simple machine quilting "stitch in the ditch" around the green star part.

Thanks beeboop71, I am usually not fond of pink..but once I got this one done I almost didn't send it out. It was for a swap on an online group I belong to.

My dahlia petals don't look right. Followed the directions but do you have any advice.

You can adjust the size of the petals. I left the end open to turn them through. Then you need to gather the open end. It will be hidden under the center circle.

This quilt is so pretty, love the colors. I have been looking for this pattern in full size for ages do you know where I can find it? Thank you again it is beautiful.

Thanks for the compliment. This quilt isn't full size. It's only about 20" square. You could adapt the size of th petals and make them as big as you want. The center of this one is a 12" block. The block is called Amish Dahlia and it's from quilterscache.com. I just added the plain border then appliqued the leaves on. I made the stem part with bias binding. It's a really simple one to do. I hope this helps you. Linda
