Tons of amethyst seed beads, 2 flat amethyst glass focal beads, some spacers, 26 gauge wire for the circles, 28 gauge wire for wrapping the seed beads, earwires
What was your inspiration?
Aga's first project in the online class... I thought I would use the wire wrapped circle in a different way this time... So I strung seed beads on a separate wire and wrapped them around the circle... I figured that wrapping seeds all around something would need a thicker base...so I used the wire wrapped circle as base...
What are you most proud of?
I had always wanted this kind of earrings...something full of teeeeeeny beads, but not exactly a cluster...and I am so happy I could make one such pair!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I didn't do this, but you could - count the beads while stringing and wrapping them around the base...that way, you can maintain uniformity between the 2 earrings... Lucky for me, mine look alright even though I forgot to count (in the excitement) :)
