What was your inspiration?
I wanted a red, white and blue runner for the fourth of July and had a lot of long narrow scraps in my scrap drawers, so a strings patchwork quilt seemed the perfect answer.
What are you most proud of?
I'm pleased with the overall look.
(I wish I could say that I'm proud of my quilting, but I'll have to admit that I took this to a friend with a longarm machine to have it quilted for me. She did a wonderful job.)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Fabric scraps are your friend and make some of the most wonderful patchwork projects.
