Instructions

This is really an easy knitting project. It is mainly stockinette stitch and some ribbing stitches. The skirt is knitted in the round and the sweater is knit in rows on straight needles (or circular if preferred). Both are seamless projects, so other than hemming the waistband of the skirt, there is no seaming of pieces!

Caron Simply Soft Acrylic Yarn and size 0 and 1 knitting needles - straight, circular and dpns.

What was your inspiration?

Having four granddaughters has definitely inspired me to knit doll clothes. I am currently revising the pattern and hope to have it available soon!

What are you most proud of?

I love being able to design doll outfits that children will find easy to use when playing and dressing up their dolls. I am keepting that in mind for any doll clothes that I design. I want them cute, naurally, but I want to think of them from a child's point of view so she/he doesn't get discouraged dressing the doll.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's easy - honestly! If you've knit before and enjoy knitting, I think you'll have fun with this project.
