What was your inspiration?

My husband and all the service men & women in the world who sacrifice so much to defend freedom. They give so much and are so humble in return....I want to make quilts and give back as my thank you. I plan to make many, many more quilts for them and hope you are inspired to do the same. They are so appreciative!

What are you most proud of?

Them!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be inspired and do what you can. Carole recommends lap size quilts around 36 x 48 inches. She appreciates your time, money and effort. She does not expect perfection, just do your best. Many of them are in wheelchairs during their rehabilitation and for life. This size comfortably fits around their lap and legs and won't get caught in the wheelchair. Miracle Quilts is a 501 c 3. They can provide you with a tax donation form for your donation.
