Amazing Felicity Hats

Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:

Instructions

I cast on 80 stitches for this hat. One skein of the Lion Brand Amazing (53% Wool, 47% Acrylic)might run short for some people, depending upon each knitter. The pattern calls for 165 - 180 yards of Worsted Weight Yarn. The "Amazing" yarn I used is Aran weight, and each skein is 147 yards. You may need more than one skein to be sure.

What was your inspiration?

I made these hats for a charity hat drive for kids and teens in Chicago. I love the inspirational colors to brighten up the winter days!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a fairly simple pattern to follow. Since I was knitting them for charity, exact size was not an issue. Every hat will find a home and fit someone. I had read that others found the hat ran a little small, so I cast on 80 stitches, although the pattern includes casting on 70 stitches.
