SCARF. Using size 15 straight knitting needles, cast on 18 stitches. Slip first stitch, knit one, purl two knit two to end (ending with Knit two). Each row knitted the same. Knit scarf as long as you want it to be - this one is 50". Add Fringe - I used 8 strands of yarn.
HAT. Cast on 44 stitches on size 11 straight knitting needles. Knit two, Purl two. for 3" Knit one row on right side increasing two stitches (46 stitches) in the middle of the row. Change to Size 15 needles and follow pattern for scarf for a total of 12". Knit 2 together to end. Draw yarn through remaining stitches to gather and sew seam together.
