What materials did you use? Dupion Silk

What are you most proud of? The seaming. I used Vogue 1274 as my pattern hasn't arrived yet, and the dupion I purchased from the local fabric shop - not the best fabric shop in the world! I think it is rather old - and it was sooooo expensive. I like the pattern, and I took a lot of fabric out at the hip line as it was supposed to wrap into a tucked buttoned back. I don't need bulk there. I however left the sleeve with the tuck and button detail. The fit is good, and I think the collar is too high but I can fold it down. Can't wait for the class pattern to arrive - but I won't make it in silk as it wouldn't get the wear around our country town. I have now finished it as you can see - great class thanks Linda

I like your shirt. Good job! When it arrives, I hope you will make your Liberty Shirt pattern in silk as well. Treat yourself to two nice silk shirts. You deserve it. Right?! ;-D I just signed up for the class today. I probably won't start my liberty shirt until next month because I just completed a dress that I made on my own -- have to add 9 buttons to the front today -- and I am working my way through Susan Khalje's Couture Dress class. I'm just watching that one for now. I will make that dress for spring. The delay might give me time to drop the 5 pounds that I gained over the holidays. LOL.

I received my pattern and made the Liberty Shirt up in silk and I made two! Thanks for your suggestion. Hope you are doing well with Susan's class?
