Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Cake Decorating

Type of item: Food

For: Women

Style: Formal / Bridal

Materials

Cream Cheese filling, fondant, gum paste, pearl dust.

What was your inspiration?

aliry had the most beautiful wedding gown. So I took some elements here and there and added them together. The top of the cake under the topper was like a beautiful bought of roses

What are you most proud of?

That the caterers and everyone there setting up stopped what they were doing and just stared. Pure silence then oohs and ahhs. The caterers called me the next morning, a Sunday morning!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Structure structure structure. This cake was 42" tall without the topper! And bring extras I'd everything for touch ups.m ours were minimal because the structural integrity was really well thought out. It was transported in. 2 pieces. Even then, you tend to hold your breath until its all set. And most important, it's gotta taste as good as it looks. Guests went back for seconds and thirds!

Oh so pretty! I've tried this hour glass shape once and well, I didn't plan my time to get it right - this is really beautiful! Great quilting!

Beautiful statuesque cake. I'm thinking about the Taj Mahal. No wonder everyone who saw it was impressed. What a wonderful memory maker you created. Is this your tallest cake yet?

Thank you! Not my tallest cake to date. But the other taller ones had dividers in them. The back was just as beaustiful as it had roses cascasing down the back of it like her gown.
