Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Maggie Austin's work has always charmed me, and I was thrilled when Alicia requested "ruffles" & "peonies" as decorations for her & Ryan's Wedding Cake. Both the ruffles & peonies were made using Satin Ice gum paste (kept its natural white). The pasta roller makes quick work when making both. I then mixed "champagne" & "gold pearl" lustre dusts with pure lemon extract, and painted the edges of both the ruffles & peonies. I thoroughly enjoyed making this cake, and Alicia shared with me that she, Ryan & their guests loved their Wedding Cake. Thank you Maggie for inspiring so many!
