What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make a costume for my Daughter for Halloween, but I only had a couple hours to make something. She was wearing the Blue smocked dress a couple days before and it made me think of Alice in Wonderland. I had some white cotton decor fabric I think that might have been for curtain lining, and I was able to find a use for it!
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that I was able to a) come up with something, b) execute the idea without a pattern c) that I remembered to make it a little bigger to add more years of play with it! It was made from memory so all the mistakes are my own.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Starch, pin, and give yourself more time than I gave myself! I only had a couple hours to make during nap time and we had to leave as soon as she woke up so that was nerve-wracking!
