Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: This was a two layer cake, the bottom layer was a boiled chocolate cake and the upper a white mud cake. The bottom layer was made using a square and round cake glued together with chocolate butter cream to make a rough oval. I hired an oval tin for the top layer then joined them together with more chocolate butter cream. The whole lot was then levelled and trimmed to make the oval shape. I used chocolate butter cream to crumb coat, then rolled out the fondant to cover the whole cake. The little footballers were made with fondant and the lines were fondant rolled out thinly then placed on the cake.
