Hi Karianne, I love the prairies! Your images really capture the prairie landscape, and what is fast becoming obsolete - the grain elevator. Great perspective! Would like to see your own description / goal for each shot. Kate

Hey Kate! My goal in photographing the grain elevators was to capture these disappearing, yet iconic prairie structures, and to give them a sense of place. I was experimenting with different orientations and perspectives. I really liked those fluffy, white clouds dotting that big, blue prairie sky!

For the quonset pictures I was trying to convey a sense of distance and scale - that feeling of being very small in a vast landscape!

Thanks Karianne, for the information on the context in which you shot these prairie scenes. You achieved your goals admirably with these compelling images!

Hi.. Try boosting Levels. The picture look a bit flat. Increasing contrast helps, too. And... you do have a good eye!

Thanks for your feedback Rick! I have been unhappy with the colour. The pictures aren't capturing what a bright sunny day this was and I've been wondering why. I'm going to apply your advice. There's another Craftsy course - digital editing!

Hi - Getting good color is part image capture, part processing..... a bit part in image processing. Good idea and thank you!
