What are you most proud of? I'm proud that I made a sample and did not just jump into the project making an entire garment.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? MAKE A SAMPLE!!! it will make you much happier with your choice for a final garment. Some times it's hard to tell what the colors will do together and making a sample will give you a great idea of how the final project will look. Not to mention you will be on the way to your own book of samples for future projects.

You are right - sometimes I am too eager to start the garment. Your samples show how very different the final product can look even though they are the same colour combos. I like your favourite too - let's see what you do with it.

They're all so beautiful and the colours all sing. My favourite is the same as yours, it really stands out.

I dyed the fabric myself. The blue is CARIBBEAN BLUE & the red is OXBLOOD RED, both dyes are from Dharma Trading. I screen printed the paisley stencil with a silver fabric paint. I as not sure what combination I wanted to make as a skirt so I made a sample of reverse appliqu and regular appliqu. I ended up making a skirt with the red on the bottom and blue on top as an appliqu. I did some bead work on it as a nice detail. I guess I forgot to post the final garment. I will do that soon.
