What materials did you use? This skirt was hand sewn from 4 men's T-shirts, upholstery thread, and chop beads.

What are you most proud of? I went on a trip and arrived without any clothes. I was unable to find a reasonably priced skirt on short notice, so I sewed this from 4 men's T-shirts in my hotel room that evening. I did the embellishment after i got back from the trip. It is a work in progress, as i plan to add more embellishment to it.

Very pretty! That's a great idea to keep adding embellishments and have it as a wearable work in progress. It looks great just like it is now, but if you want to keep adding and wearing it at the same time that is a brilliant idea. When I want to keep adding more I get it stuck in my head that it's not "done" and some projects seem to languish. So I love that this is both finished and wearable, but you'll add more later.

I just love the beaded embellishments. Good job!

Wow - talk about resourceful! Love all your beads on the ruffle - did you sew the ruffle down first, or do you ruffle and bead at the same time?

Thank you! I basted the ruffle and then sewed it permanently using the beading stitches, removing the basting thread after I was finished.
