What materials did you use? 100% cotton material, YLI silk thread in outer border, YLI silk thread in triangles, Bottom Line thread in bobbin and used for the pumpkin seed design(a.k.a. teacup and saucer design... a.k.a. orange peel design), and fusible fleece for the batting.

What are you most proud of? I am most proud that I actually finished it. If you look closely, you'll see a couple of feathers mixed into the flowers. I also used the pumpkin seed pattern as the central design over each of the air castle blocks. I filled in the melons to hide my bumpy piecing. The quilt measures 13 inches across and 22 1/2 inches long.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I really should have marked the clam/ fans, and I should have redone the binding.

Lovely quilting that really brings this piece to life! Congratulations! (And if you decide that you do want to redo the binding, it is possible at a later date - I know because I've redone them years later!)

Thank you. I am going to redo it after a mini class at retreat. :) Your class was a wonderful help.
