What was your inspiration?

I wanted a large enough market bag for shopping, that as well as being functional would look very stylish too. So I designed the Ailsa Market bag for this purpose, with loads of handy pockets too.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It looks amazing, with loads of details, but don't let that put you off if you've only done a few sewing projects. If you're confident with a sewing machine I think you'll love making this useful, yet stylish bag. The instructions are very clear and straight forward with plenty of images and diagrams to keep you right.
