What was your inspiration?
One night while watching the news, the story of Racheal O'neil and Little Dresses for Africa " inspired me. I loved the idea of designing dresses with patchwork and embroidery.
What are you most proud of?
I made about 12 dresses and no 2 were alike. They were sent along with a friend doing volunteer work in Lusaka, Zambia to an orphanage there.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Start simply, buy a pattern that is simple to sew, choose colorful fabrics and don't be afraid to experiment.
