What was your inspiration?

I wanted to celebrate the Advent Candle ceremony at home, so hubby made this candle holder out of a piece of cedar log. He bored the holes with a drill press. Then, I put melted wax in the holes, one at a time, and set the candles in place. I put a piece of plastic garland among the candles to decorate the candle holder.

What are you most proud of?

It is beautiful and still has a rustic look to it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Pick a piece of wood that you can easily bore holes into.
