What materials did you use? I took several of my sons' Army Combat Uniforms apart. I had to remove cargo pockets from the pants and sleeves to get enough single layered fabric. It took longer to prep the fabric than to actually make the jacket.

What are you most proud of? My sons' military service.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Read the directions completely. I made the extra small and ended up sewing the pocket flaps down because I didn't read ahead. Also, if I had planned to use the pockets, I would have made the button holes before sewing on the flaps. I ended up sewing the buttons on with no button holes.

I LOVE your jacket! And what nice fabric source. Thank you to your son for his service.
