What was your inspiration?

I wanted to learn to knit with beads and saw that I would learn several new techniques with this project.

What are you most proud of?

It's finished!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The lace panel with beads was not easy but lots of fun. I learned a lot with this project and am glad I made it.

Nice, Kaye--what is the yarn? I have been thinking about taking that course. Do you recommend it?

I definitely recommend the class. I've learned so much and Laura Nelkin is a wonderful teacher. She's very thorough. I knit this shawl w/ Heritage Silk Paints from Cascade. It's a wool/silk blend. It's a tad splitty to work with but has a lovely drape and very nice hand.
