What materials did you use? Alabama Chanin Organic Cotton Jersey - in White and Dove. Button Craft Thread in Slate and Embroidery Thread in Light Grey. Facets stencil purchased from AC. This project uses the reverse negative applique method of embellishment. I used the sleeveless tee shirt pattern from AC Book 3 and widened and lowered the neckline a little.

What are you most proud of? Finishing it - the Facets stencil is time consuming. When I ordered the Dove fabric, I decided that it wasn't the best colour for me but using it with White lifts the colour and I like the two colours together.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start on the back - I found that there is a rhythm to stitching this stencil design and a rhythm to cutting it. I started on the front first and my stitching is better on the back which was the second piece I embellished. I also broke the rules and used embroidery thread with the running stitch around the stencil design. Time will tell if this was a bad idea but I guess we should try different approaches.

Beautiful. This is my favorite AC stencil and you did a great job! I can't wait to try it myself.
