What was your inspiration?
My room mate bought a dress for her sister's wedding, and commissioned me to build a piece that would match. We worked together to choose a color and composition that would be both versatile and complimentary to her dark purple dress.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that my room mate loves this piece, and hopes to wear it again and again.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be careful when attempting to combine large elements into a multi strand piece - they need extra room at the ends, usually more than one helper bead - so they don't bunch up awkwardly.
