Instructions

I modified this pattern and used rick rack along the rectangle and did not add any appliques, but instead used a print fabric (ABC's)...I also added small prairie points around the inside edge.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Casual, Cute, Whimsical, Funky

Materials

Cotton fabrics, rick rack, fusible fleece, heat 'n bond lite, thread, quilt binding tape, sewing supplies & tools.

What was your inspiration?

My niece - and this ABC fabric - to make something she would be able to use and remember me at the same time. There is a "problem" with the print fabric - as (for some reason) there is no "V" and so, when I send this to her, it will be like a mystery to solve - for her to FIND the Missing alphabet!

What are you most proud of?

How cute it came out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are going to add the prairie points, I suggest you use the nesting method - I saw on the Fons & Porter website - it makes a "chain" and is easier to place them.
