I modified this pattern and used rick rack along the rectangle and did not add any appliques, but instead used a print fabric (ABC's)...I also added small prairie points around the inside edge.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
My niece - and this ABC fabric - to make something she would be able to use and remember me at the same time. There is a "problem" with the print fabric - as (for some reason) there is no "V" and so, when I send this to her, it will be like a mystery to solve - for her to FIND the Missing alphabet!

How cute it came out.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you are going to add the prairie points, I suggest you use the nesting method - I saw on the Fons & Porter website - it makes a "chain" and is easier to place them.
