What was your inspiration?

Quilt is 16"x16" and was made for the 2010 Alliance for American Quilts New from Old Contest. I used a couple of vintage fan blocks along with some contemporary fabric then embellished many of the seams and flowers with beads.

What are you most proud of?

I had not plan with how this quilt would look when finished. I am happy all of the elements came togehter and created a beautiful cohesive quilt.

The fabrics really did most of the work for me on this one. I love the asian flowers and found them a perfect blend with the vintage fans.
