What was your inspiration?

This is my friends grandson, Aasim. His dad took the great pic and then had photoshopped it with a yellow background. That changed his skin tones and created this flat yellow background. So ... I used a yellowing tinted batik cloth and this is layers and layers and layers of colored pencils. It was fun to experiment with a pic that was in a completely different colorway! Not sure if I'll do background stitching or not ... considering using a multi-colored yellow/orange thread for that ... but not sure!

Incredible. First thing I noticed was it's eye catching placement,. After I opened it to be big enough to see the detail, I was speechless!
