What materials did you use? Green taffeta, black organza, black & white striped cotton shirting, antique-inspired buttons.
What are you most proud of? I made all three pieces in the evenings after work over a two week period. I still can't believe I finished in time! I'm also proud that I bargained my fabric supplier down to $3/yard, so it was a great deal for 11 yards of taffeta.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? This was a VERY challenging pattern and as a seasoned sewist, even I had to rip out seams to figure out some of the construction. I would definitely do this pattern again and maybe try it in the khaki color that is on the pattern envelope. But if you attempt this pattern, I would give yourself a very long lead time--the devil is in the details here.
