What materials did you use? This quilt was made using "Safari" quilt pattern by Wendi, with Shiny Happy World. Each block has several pieces put together to create each animal, and elements of embroidery for detailing. I used 100% cotton for all of the quilt...using both cotton thread for machine quilting and the invisible thread mentioned in Ann Peterson's class. Instead of a thicker batting, I chose to use flannel. I felt this would make the quilt warm without the bulk of a regular batting. This is the first large quilt I have finished myself. Previous quilts have been sent out to have the quilting done.

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of being able to take this quilt from beginning to end. Even though it is not without fault I am pleased with the overall finished project. Using the "Quilting Big Projects on a Small Machine" class gave me the confidence to complete this project.
