Super Chunky 50/50 wool alpaca blend by Misti Alpaca

What was your inspiration?

When I owned the yarn store Knit 1 in Chicago I changed the window displays constantly to try to get peoples attention. I wanted pieces that were quick yet stylish with a little bit of challenge but not enough to turn someone off to completing it. I loved using the chunkier yarns so you could really see the stitches. This is one of the pieces that came from that line of thought.

What are you most proud of?

Again, whenever anyone responds favorably it makes me happy!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't let the thought of short rows & grafting scare you. With the chunky yarn there isn't that much of it and once you get it you'll want to put short rows in and graft every project you're working on!

I think I need more coffee. PU means pick up stitches?

On the purl side you want to purl together the wrap & the stitch it's wrapped aound & on the knit side you'll ktog the wrap and the stitch it's wrapped around. Hope this helps!
