What materials did you use? The 3x50g balls of bulky polyester 'yarn' used in this scarf came bundled together in a kit (with plastic needles I didn't use but kept) from my local discount grocery store. You sometimes luck out and they run random specials like this! I'm a new enough knitter that I'm not too precious about the quality of my materials yet. I just want to dive in and practice, practice, practice. I used my 10mm bamboo needles. The label's example showed it in stockinette, but I thought the proportions really lent itself to a more uniform stitch, so seed stitch it was! Plus, I'd just fallen in love with it and the 2x2 basket stitch from lesson 10 in Knit Lab. This was a great chance to really get that knit to purl groove going and develop some real muscle memory.

What are you most proud of? I'm proud that I was able to take a new material in an entirely new gauge and needle size and produce something both myself or my fella can wear. I love having more stitches to choose from and tweak projects to the way I want them.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I actually burnt the tails before weaving them in. The material is man-made and did not behave in any way like a natural fibre. I was so happy with the result and didn't want fraying or coming apart in ways I couldn't predict.
