What was your inspiration?

I have a few Jelly-Rolls waiting to become quilts and Kimberley's cours inspired me to 'think' hard about what to do with them.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the quilting. I was very excited about designing the stitching pattern and stitched the first design on the patterened fabric - I was disheartened to say the least - you just couldn't see it. So I reworked it and sewed it in the negative space and am just delighted. Thanks to Wendy, Cindy, Leah, Ann and Angela who have taught me how FMQ my own quilts. I still have so much to learn but am having a wonderful time improving my new skill - thank you.
I'm also very proud of how much i enjoyed doing this project, regardless of how 'simple' the design is and I know i will be extremely proud when I give it to my friend of almost 40yrs for her 'big' birthday.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Get things very clearn in your head before you start. When you are stuck, stop and rethink what you want to achieve. Remind yourself that this is 'fun' and find your 'hum-purr' as Cindy puts it.
