What are you most proud of? I love the colors--and it was fun using my vintage sparkly plastic German needles for the first time! The project was very fast--just 3 short evenings' work while watching television.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It would be a good idea to have both circular and double-pointed needles for this project. Start with the circular, and switch as you work towards the top of the hat and have fewer stitches.

I have tried to do the band at least 10 times. And torn it out. When you do the turn row, p1k1p1 6 st on cable needle to the front. Then what? Knit the last stitch then knit those on the cable needel? That didn't work. Leave them on the cable needle until the next row? That didnt work either. Help!
